A brain-shaped jello mold is funny. This is just gross.

I am a freaky chick. But I'm really, really far from being this freaky. I look at this and I find myself wondering who the person was and how their skull ended up this woman's chocolate mold. I am a really morbid person myself at times, and I suppose I shouldn't be judging, but goodness this idea upsets me.

I'm sure it took a lot of talent to match the color correctly, and mold such an intricate piece out of a substance not known for its structural integrity- just as I'm sure it takes talent to produce Rap music. In both cases, the question becomes "Why would you spend your talents in this manner?"

From a look at her website - and - I really do think this is a Day Of The Dead thing. In that cultural context, it's not weird or upsetting at all.

Well, I like some rap music, so I have no trouble with people spending their talents in that manner as long as the end result is good. Same is true of romance novels.

I find it troubling because it's so reductionary of a human being. I'm very pro- organ donation, and squeamishly OK with the anatomical exhibition of real human bodies (as long as it is done in a respectful manner and for educational and artistic purposes), but this is not respectful and not for a high or even middling purpose.
