When this SR-71 blackbird was donated

To the museum, the two guys charged with flying it across the country
broke the speed record for a flight across America, going from LA to
DC in an hour and four minutes.

Upon landing at Dulles, they handed the plane over to the
Smithsonian. Those Air Force guys have style, us gotta give them that.

That SR 71 was my favorite thing about the Air and Space museum as a kid.

Sigh.
