"So, I hear it's Biden?"

The youth director said, sitting down across a picnic table from me.

"Biden?" a youth said from inside his tent. "Man..."

I wonder if the partition of Iraq is back on the table now...

Well, he bought himself an attack dog to go after McCain without dirtying his hands and some extra play with the unions in the rust belt. He coulda done worse. He might have done better, but Biden was a safe choice.

Get a transcript of the tangled talk in Springfield. Biden's first words were about his drop dead gorgeous wife, but she has a PhD... it was a very weird moment among a few weird moments (Obama introducing Biden as the next Prez..)

Biden's been a Democrat I've liked but he's capable of saying some odd stuff. Couple that with Obama's unease without the teleprompter... (live in Chicago and you know Obama cans say some really odd stuff too... Saddleback was typical unscripted Obama... the U of C Prof who sees all the angles but never gives a straight answer)... this is a real pair for a ticket.

As a McCain guy, my fear would have been Obama - HRC... this I don't fear so much.

I figure it's only a matter of time before this waggish Google search turns up some results. I'm actually a bit surprised that it doesn't already do so. . .

Biden better be a good attack dog, because according to Gallup, McCain has actually pulled ahead after the pick. http://www.gallup.com/poll/109834/Gallup-Daily-Bounce-Obama-Post-Biden-Tracking.aspx
