The Sex in the City movie is exactly what you think it is

If you like that, go for it. If you don't, don't go.

A major Charlotte fan.

I wouldn't have guessed you as a major Charlotte fan. I follow the stereotype and love Miranda. Charlotte seems to be the most popular with straight men because she's pretty and sweet, while Miranda has a harder edge.

Oh, I'm more like Miranda in temperament, but I love Charlotte for many of the same reasons I liked first-season Bree in Desperate Housewives.

Someone trying to live unambiguously in an ambiguous world is a standard character trope these days, but I like to watch it.

Besides, Kristen Davis is a really gifted comedic actress. Her line delivery cracks me up.

I really liked the movie. There were some bungles (the acting by the guy who played Smith was not good, and the writing for Jennifer Hudson was pretty blech - I don't think the writers know what to do with people of color or bisexual characters in the SitC universe), but overall I had a great time. I identify most with (and adore) Charlotte, even though she is not the most interesting of the four.
