Us boomers like "Imagine" because of the rather delicious joke that it's a popular song that is also essentially the Communist Manifesto! I don't like it much as a song either. And I like possessions.

Ha you are so right. I often tease my 14 year old for her love of Imagine and my ex g/f for downloading Jesus Take the Wheel using my itunes account.

I will say that if your entire generation shared your sense of irony, I probably wouldn't mind the song so much.
