You scored as Paul Tillich. Paul Tillich sought to express Christian truth in an existentialist way. Our primary problem is alienation from the ground of our being, so that our life is meaningless. Great for psychotherapy, but no longer very influential.

Me too :)
That was a tough survey for a non-Christian, though.
Wow, I'm also a Tillichian.
Not surprising though...
As he's the least theistic and one of the least traditionally Christian on the list, it doesn't surprise me that he ranks highly for lots of UUs.

I'm Tillich (60%), then Finney, then Calvin, then Schleiermacher.
I was surprised. From the available choices I would have predicted Schleiermacher, then Tillich, with Calvin and especially Finney nowhere near the top.
I think they must be inferring different things from the answers than what they actually were asking. Like the question on divine sovereignty--a clear marker for Calvin. If you agree with Calvin that it's an important theological question you have to answer 'yes', but it never askes whether you agree with Calvin's position that God actually is an absolute sovereign. If you deny Calvin's position, that shouldn't make you Calvin.
And any list of theologians that excludes Origen, Gregory of Nyssa, Pelagius, Arius, Maimonides, Spinoza, Socinus, Arminius, Bonhoeffer and Whitehead just doesn't have enough data points to constitute a statistically valid universe, IMO.
"Bah. The grapes are sour anyway," said the fox.
BTW, I think half Dowd, half Tillich is probably a fairly accurate description of CC.
Fausto sucks when he's right.

feeling like pouting because Tank Girl didn't come into that equation anywhere. Yet she won't as she suspects pouting is Dowdish. Is changing one's behavior because one is worried that it might be taken as being like Maureen Dowd's in itself Dowdish behavior?
OK, these are my results:
You scored as Charles Finney.
You're passionate about God and love to preach the Gospel. Your theology borders on pelagianism and it is said that if God were taken out of your theology, it would look exactly the same.
Charles Finney

Jürgen Moltmann
53%
Paul Tillich
53%
Karl Barth
47%

20%
Jonathan Edwards
20%
Friedrich Schleiermacher

No wonder that Calvin and Augustine qualify as 0%.
Just one little question: who's that Finney guy?
I am Schliermacher, but i agree with Fausto that the options are too limited.
Also, i wasn't sure what it meant to agree with the statements. Worse one, "God does not exist, but is rather the ground of being.'
If we identify "God" with "the ground of being" and in the samee statement, say that "God" doesn't "exist" then aren't we saying that th "ground of being" doesn't "exist."
Nobody would agree with that, except for a solipsist.
