Eve Ensler irritates me a LOT. For all the good she does, she's one of those relentlessly self-promoting types who obviously fancies herself a real Earth Mother. She's a terrible actress - if she hadn't written her own material, I can't imaging she'd get any work.
And that Louise Brooks hairdo has GOT. TO. GO.
That said (meow!), I've seen the Monologues a few times by now and although much of it is precious and cloying, a good director and sincere performances can make a lot of it really powerful.
