Remember when I was rereading The Fountainead?

Life got busy and I haven't re-finished it yet.

But Cerulean just finished Atlas Shrugged.

And Lisa the Foodie wrote about a geometric, yet edible, pie.

My IRL friends. They are so awesome.

I'm a bit skeptical of the "Atlas Shrugged, so timely!" stuff.

That is, specifically, an icosahedral pie. The icosahedron is interesting in that it encloses the greatest volume for a given surface area of any of the five regular polyhedra.

Is that because it is closest to being a sphere?

Well spotted, CC!!! The sphere, as you apparently have surmised, contains the greatest volume for given surface area of ANY closed surface.

*Blush* Just applying what I knew about 2d geometry to 3d to see if it worked...
