Out of curiosity, CC, when was the last time you read 1984? I wouldn't let the reputation of a bunch of dabblers who like to throw around impressive sounding book title jeopardize one of my favorite works of literature.
Jesus, when I read the book for the first time when I was in 8th grade, I couldn't been alone in the same room for two hours.
I think the second video backfired, as Obama comes off as funny and personable ... and how can you not like someone who loves their team, and laughs when he sings the football music?
I'm pretty far away from both Clinton and Obama, politically, and even I thought he was awesome for a few seconds there.
I didn't think the Clinton ad was very convincing, and the Obama one is downright lame. How are you supposed to connect someone who's joking about his candidacy and talking about sports to the joyless dystopia of "1984"? I'd see Obama as the more likely "Brave New World" candidate: we can all have what we want, today, without hard work or sacrifice.

Both ads have merit.

Lack of charm is certainly not the man's problem.

I saw this ad as a parody of the other one, so the lameness was OK.

I heard that neither of these ads were made by anyone officially connected with either campaign. What have you heard on that?
