I needed to write a story that could be read in five minutes. I wrote one. I didn't get to use it for what I wanted. So I put it here.
It currently has no title.

who has written things in the last three years, this is just the first thing to seem right for the fiction blog in a long time.

I actually could see you getting fired that way. It does need a title, though- especially in short work, I think of titles as an integral part of the experience.
I liked "All tenderly his messenger he chose" as a title, but if you don't get the reference it makes no sense and if you DO get the reference it gives away the ending.
I will keep thinking about it.

I'm usually good at titles, it's just that "All tenderly his messenger he chose" adds so much if you DO get the reference, even though it's a big hint at the ending, that I kind of got stuck on it.

Well, the title of "I see a man sitting in a chair, and the chair is biting his leg" by Harlan Ellison gave away the ending, but was kind of cool anyway.
