There's a place in Portland that sells those "smart cars" (I think?), but I've never seen a convertible version.
I would feel better about driving one of those things around if more people were driving those things around. I just imagine getting hit by one of these 450s or Tundras and I envision something like smashing into a shopping cart with a garbage truck. Eek!
A great commuter car, though. Maybe they and other high efficiency cars should be allowed in the carpool lane, too.

They have 5-star side impact ratings. That is better than most compact cars. They have 4 star front impact ratings and this is on par with most compact cars and far better than most old cars.
Seriously, there are pictures of the accidents between smarts and things like range rovers... the smarts just slid sideways and their door panels were a bit smudged... while the range rover had a smart-sized snarl of twisted metal and wreckage where the hood used to be.
That being said... Congrats Suzyn. I so wanna drive it.
Epilonious - wow?! That is impressive. I will have to take another look at them, then. I don't think I can fit a carseat in them, though. Hmm. CC, you'll have to let us know how it zips! And will u post photos in your FB?
Because of a recent ton of spam and weird insulting comments from a brand-new poster, I'm putting in comment moderation for a bit. I'm planning to do comment moderation "Ms. Kitty Style," as in, with a very light touch and kicking only off-topic and unreasonably insulting posts.

Did you really get one? What fun!
ReplyDeleteThose things are great. But did you know that in Italy, the smart car is a mid size?
ReplyDeleteIt's darling!
ReplyDeleteIt's so cute! Hooray for you! Are you going to name it/her/him?
