My point is that it is quite pathetic, and indeed shameful, that the tiny declining fringe religion known as The U*U Movement can be put to shame by companies and corporations that do a much better job of responding to complaints than the UUA does.Robin Edgarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06208142626285495635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9864334.post-83510582240991223002009-06-07T10:33:14.799-04:002009-06-07T10:33:14.799-04:00Shrug. It seems to me to be roughly comparable to the sort of thing people "get away" with in other fields, and indeed, a lot less egregious than what police officers "get away" with.

CCChalicechickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07781469958573869914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9864334.post-89338418184016060602009-06-07T09:46:27.312-04:002009-06-07T09:46:27.312-04:00Let's say 'complaints department' inst...Let's say 'complaints department' instead then CC. The fact remains that a good number of companies and non-profit organizations do a much better job of dealing responsibly with complaints of various kinds than the UUA does. I might add that ministry can be reasonably described as a form of service". Ministers describe themselves as "religious professionals" and some even go so far as to call themselves "pastoral specialists" etc. In a sense any and all congregants of a church are "clients" of its minister and have a right to expect genuinely *professional* behavior on the part of so called "religious professionals." It is to the shame and detriment of the UUA that it allows U*U ministers to get away with stunningly unprofessional behavior.

* pun not intended but it works.Robin Edgarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06208142626285495635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9864334.post-6913224101783297792009-06-06T21:23:53.993-04:002009-06-06T21:23:53.993-04:00Zappos is an online shoe store.
