Remember when I was rereading The Fountainead?

Life got busy and I haven't re-finished it yet.

But Cerulean just finished Atlas Shrugged.

And Lisa the Foodie wrote about a geometric, yet edible, pie.

My IRL friends. They are so awesome.

  2. That is, specifically, an icosahedral pie. The icosahedron is interesting in that it encloses the greatest volume for a given surface area of any of the five regular polyhedra.

  3. Is that because it is closest to being a sphere?

  4. Well spotted, CC!!! The sphere, as you apparently have surmised, contains the greatest volume for given surface area of ANY closed surface.

Because of a recent ton of spam and weird insulting comments from a brand-new poster, I'm putting in comment moderation for a bit. I'm planning to do comment moderation "Ms. Kitty Style," as in, with a very light touch and kicking only off-topic and unreasonably insulting posts.
