I've mentioned that the most beautiful words in the English language...

are "You've been measuring yourself wrong all this time. You're actually a D cup."

But I have to say "Please accept my warm congratulations on your acceptance to Georgetown University Law Center" would be a close second.

I don't know that I can afford to go.

But oh my goodness, I got in!

  1. Wow. Now, I forgot why you didn't apply to Harvard Law school. . .
If you had only done this earlier, you could have taken courses with Drinan at GU.

  2. Just as I was laughing at the D-cup remark I had to switch over to a cheer, so it came out sounding like what would happen if someone kicked a crow in the throat.
    Still, wahoo!

  3. Congratulations! You'll be a fearsome lawyer.

Search the internet for grants and scholarships -- they're out there. My niece paid for Mills College completely with them.

  7. Congratulations! I have a couple friends at GULC, so let me know if you'd like to get info, particularly on the question of how to pay for it. In particular, if you're set on public interest rather than private firm work, there are lots of grants, scholarships and loan forgiveness programs for people whose insane tuition bills aren't balanced by equally insane levels of pay.

As for the D cup, I was so unhappy when my cup size went up that I nearly cried in the dressing room, but a chacun sa chanson :-)

  8. Just wandered across your blog. (Hit enough links and it's interesting where you land sometimes!) Any congrats on getting into law school from a fellow blogger in NC.

  9. Sweet! Are you sure you want to do this to yourself? ;-)

Because of a recent ton of spam and weird insulting comments from a brand-new poster, I'm putting in comment moderation for a bit. I'm planning to do comment moderation "Ms. Kitty Style," as in, with a very light touch and kicking only off-topic and unreasonably insulting posts.
