Actually, watching frightened people trapped on an airplane full of deadly snakes isn't that funny. It's really sort of horrifying and gross.

But the non-gen-Xers among my readership could have told me that.

Just saw the midnight premiere of Snakes on a Plane.

TheCSO has many thoughtful things to say about it and has been encouraged to write about them here.

But I'm going to bed.

Well, maybe I'll watch some TV first.

I hear it's Shark Week.

Ps. If you haven't read Joel's 9-11 Conspiracy post you should. It's good.

  1. I will have to avoid reading till after Sunday. The DH, my friend J, her ex E, the DH's brother, a friend of DH + the girlfriend of said friend, and I are all going on Sunday.

I can't believe we got this big a crowd! My mom even forwarded me the voicemail she got from Samuel L Jackson "encouraging" me to go see it.

Well, if it's actually really scary that's good. I was thinking it would just be campy in that this-is-only-funny-because-I'm-watching-this-with-7-funny-friends kind of way.

and why would that be good? I guess it a gen-X thing us older folks can't understand. Not only that, I don't want to understand it. I won't go on....

Because of a recent ton of spam and weird insulting comments from a brand-new poster, I'm putting in comment moderation for a bit. I'm planning to do comment moderation "Ms. Kitty Style," as in, with a very light touch and kicking only off-topic and unreasonably insulting posts.
