OWTTE

I have never at any time suggested celebrating the total solar eclipse itself because that would be a form of idolatry that would make it difficult or impossible for the members of the major monotheistic religions to participate in either Creation Day or World Day of Conscience.

Jamie, the very reason that I have put so much energy into exposing and denouncing U*U injustices and abuses, especially U*U anti-religious intolerance and bigotry and related outrageous U*U hypocrisy is due in no small measure to the fact that Rev. Ray Drennan, and other like-minded fundie atheist U*U bigots. . . made it very difficult, if not outright impossible, for me to put forth fantastic ideas and fantastic initiatives within the Unitarian Church of Montreal and the greater U*U religious community. . .

World Day of Conscience has evolved out of Creation Day. The *fantastic* inter-religious celebration of all Creation that Rev. Ray Drennan and other intolerant and abusive fundie atheist U*Us falsely and maliciously labeled as a "cult" and anti-democratically banned from being celebrated in the Unitarian Church of Montreal in 1995 and subsequent years. . .

Need I say more?

To you and other like-minded U*Us who think that World Day of Conscience is a fantastic idea I say -

Just do it. . .

I am more than willing to help you and other open-minded U*Us to organize a local observance of World Day of Conscience on March 29th of this year and well into the future. . . I know of at least one other Ohio UU who is interested. An observance of World Day of Conscience with strong participation from Native Americans at the Great Serpent Mound and/or other effigy mounds in Ohio would indeed be fantastic. . . Invite Neil Young to sing Ohio and other appropriate songs such as 'Heart of Gold' and 'Rocking In The Free World'. . . You never know he just might show up. I'm sort of working on it already. . . ;-)

Allah prochaine,

Robin EdgarRobin Edgarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06208142626285495635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9864334.post-1137901968027202452006-01-21T22:52:00.000-05:002006-01-21T22:52:00.000-05:00Now see.. if Robin would put more energy into thes...Now see.. if Robin would put more energy into these kind of ideas I (and i would imagine many others) would take him more serious.

I think it is a fantastic idea.Jamie Goodwinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13024268765705070420noreply@blogger.com
